World War II Aircorp Veteran, Jerry Rowley, Shares His Experience

In honor of Veterans Day, we sat down to interview World War II Aircorp Veteran Jerry Rowley.

Mr. Rowley enlisted in the war in October 1942 as an aviation student and was called to active duty in January 1943. At 100 years old, he reflects on his time in World War II, Pearl Harbor, and his advice to the younger generation.

“I look back on my career and what I did, and I’m proud of it. The only thing I can say to young people today is thank God you are an American. Be thankful for that, and do everything you can to help her.”

We are proud to have Mr. Rowley as a Freedom Plaza resident and are incredibly thankful for his service. Happy Veterans Day!
